Bollywood superstars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have welcomed their first child into a world awaiting her! Many have been keen to know the baby’s gender, which has been revealed; it’s a baby girl. The celebrity parents’ wedding, yet another much-talked-about affair, was in April, and Bhatt announced her pregnancy in June.
The announcement of the birth was done via Bhatt’s Instagram, with a post that definitely elicited many “aww’s” around the world. “And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here…and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!! love love love, Alia and Ranbir”, it reads, featuring a sketch of a family of three lions.
Predictably, the pair has received quite a bit of support on this Instagram post, from fans and celebs alike. With Madhuri Dixit saying, “Warmest wishes and congratulations on the birth of your sweet little baby girl.”, the baby’s aunt Kareena Kapoor commenting that she couldn’t wait to see the “mini Alia”, and wishes from stars such as Akshay Kumar, Shreya Ghoshal, and even Alia’s international costar Gal Gadot, it’s safe to say that the baby has received a warm welcome!
Netizens have been somewhat desperate to get a glimpse of the offspring of these impactful celebrities. This desperation has gone to a point where many believed that a picture of Bhatt posing with an infant 2 years ago was one of her with her newborn child.
Be it hardcore fans of the pair or casual viewers of their work, people are excited to see the kid, and this could be because many view her as a bearer of the Kapoors’ and the Bhatts’ cinematic legacy. A common joke you will find on the topic is that Karan Johar, the director infamous for launching actors who are products of nepotism, including Bhatt herself, has already cast the lead role for a future instalment of his “Student of the Year” movie series.
This shared success in the lives of Bhatt and Kapoor swiftly follows the lasting impact of their performances in the blockbuster that came out this year, “Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva”, which gave the Indian audiences a visual spectacle, as well as acclimatised them to this very real pair.
