In reference to "Gadar 2," Sunny Deol is set to portray the character of Tara Singh, while Ameesha Patel will be seen as Sakina. Utkarsh Sharma is cast in the role of Charanjeet Singh, the son of Tara Singh and Sakina. The story is reportedly said to revolve around Tara's journey to Pakistan with the purpose of saving his son.
