Stanford president, Marc Tessier-Lavigne resigns over falsified data in his research

Dr.Mark Tessier Lavigne, President of Stanford University has resigned his position which will be effective from August 31st 2023. This action has been taken due to fabricating scientific reports with false information.Panel members from Stanford University has also identified that he had authored several publications without properly reviewing the results, and manipulating the results. 

On 19th July 2023, he acknowledged that all the statements presented by the panel were true, and accepted that he could have been more diligent in his work, and reviewing part.He mentioned "As I have emphatically stated, I have never submitted a scientific paper without firmly believing that the data were correct and accurately presented".

Hence the University is keen on selecting the next President, while Dr.Mark will continue as a faculty and continue his research on Neuro degeneration.
