Professor Savita Ladage, based in Mumbai, has been honored with the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Nyholm Prize for Education for her significant contributions to chemistry education. As part of her recognition, Professor Ladage will be awarded £5000, along with a medal and a certificate
She has been honoured for her passionate advocacy of chemical education, including efforts like mentoring chemistry educators and launching programs for teachers and students that aim to enhance chemistry education in India.
Prof. Savita has been working at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
All the Winners join an esteemed list in the RSC’s prize portfolio, with 60 later receiving Nobel Prizes, including 2022 Nobel laureate Carolyn Bertozzi and 2019 Nobel laureate John B Goodenough. Receiving this accolade aligns Professor Savita Ladage with previous winners in the RSC’s prize portfolio.
