The medical entrance test, NEET UG, has been postponed because of the violent clashes in Manipur and the state of law and order there. The exam-organizing body NTA will soon announce the new dates.
This decision was made after Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, a Manipur-based BJP state education minister, called for a delay. I had mentioned to them to delay the test, in the ongoing circumstance.
The new exam date will be set. According to Ranjan, 5751 candidates were scheduled to appear at the two Manipur centers.
For the NEET UG 2023, which will be held on May 7, 20,87,449 students have submitted applications. Dissimilar to JEE Primary, NEET UG is held disconnected once a year. On May 7, the NEET UG 2023 exam will not be held in Manipur's exam centers because of the current situation there.
However, the NTA will later announce new dates for the affected candidates' entrance exams.
