The union public service commission will have a new chairman from today. Manoj Soni, an educationalist, scholar of political science, expert and professor of International Relations is about to take an oath of chairman position of UPSC. UPSC is a commission which undertakes the selection examination process of IAS, IPS, IFS and others.
Manoj Soni joined UPSC in 2017 as a member. He is looking at all the work and following the responsibilities of the UPSC chairman post since 2022. And therefore, today he will actually take the oath of Office and Secrecy. Before being a part of UPSC, Manoj Soni was the vice chancellor of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University Gujrat, for 2 different terms from 2005 to 2015. This expert was awarded with ‘Honorary Mayor President of the City Baton Rouge’ USA.
