Delhi govt doing good at its schools: 90% parents being optimistic about children’s future

According to a study conducted by the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom, the government of Delhi stated on Monday that more than 90% of parents expressed optimism regarding the future of their children attending government schools in Delhi.

On Monday, the university shared the findings with Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. Sisodia said, “With the various innovative programs... The Delhi government schools have been emphasizing regularly on increased parental engagement in the educational journey of its students.”

Additionally, the study revealed that nearly ninety percent of parents believe that Head Teachers take their responsibilities seriously. 87% of parents said that teacher performance in Delhi Government schools is exceptional, and nearly 80% of parents are satisfied with the quality of teachers and school management. The majority of parents stated that they would attend a parent-teacher meeting as often as once every quarter.
