INOX Brings T20 World Cup to the Theatres by Signing Agreement With ICC

INOX Leisure, the Indian movie theatre behemoth is playing it big to win its audiences' hearts this festive season. INOX Movies has signed an agreement with International Cricket Council (ICC) to bring the T20 World Cup Live matches to movie theatres across the country. This means all the Indian cricket fans will be enjoying the massive screen experience along with the booming sounds of all the fours and sixes in a cinema hall!

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup matches will be played from 16th October 2022 to 13th November 2022 on the land of a long weekend, Australia. There are a total of 16 International teams playing 45 matches. INOX will live stream all Indian matches including the semi-finals and finals across the country. Truly, all Indians are going to blow their minds while watching India’s first match against Pakistan on 23rd October 2022 on the big screens. 

As far as we know already qualified Countries for T20 World Cup are India, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, England, and Afghanistan. However, some of the non-qualified Countries are Namibia, Sri Lanka, UAE, Netherlands, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Scotland which will play against each other for winning the qualification round.

The T20World Cup schedule includes Two stages. In the first stage, 8 teams in group A and group B will through the qualification round. Out of 8 teams, only 4 teams will be selected and will play with Qualified teams. India will play five group-stage matches. In group-stage matches, India will play against Pakistan, Bangladesh, and South Africa, Winner group B and Runner Up group A.

The Indian cricket team is playing the eighth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup under the Coaching of The Wall of Cricket, Rahul Dravid along with the Captaincy of Rohit Sharma and Vice-Captain KL Rahul. Virat Kohli is all set to break his record along with other team players like Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (WK), Dinesh Karthik (WK), Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, and Arshdeep Singh.

Reserve players of the team India are Mohammed Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Deepak Chahar and Ravi Bishnoi.

INOX works in 74 cities with 165 multiplexes, and 705 screens and has a total seating capacity of 1.57 lakh seats across India.
