Bajaj bringing back its iconic Chetak

Chetak Technology Ltd., the EV arm of Bajaj Auto, set out to try to bring the legend back, this time in an electric form, years after the last Chetak was released in 2006.

The electric Chetak is no exception to Bajaj's reputation for producing attractive two-wheelers. The scooter stands out from the rest thanks to its vintage-looking round LED headlight with DRL. The scooter has a high-end feel thanks to its sleek design and plush-looking paint colors.

Along with the speedometer and odometer, Chetak's digital meter contains a wealth of information, including the time, battery status, range, side stand notification (which also kills the motor when the side stand is used), and side stand notification. The Chetak has a 550.4 V/60.4 Ah Lithium Ion battery and a 4080W BLDC motor. It takes about 5 hours to fully charge the battery.

Bajaj Chetak is an electric scooter that is powered by a 3.8 kW motor and a lithium-ion battery. The scooter has a range of up to 95 km on a single charge.  The Bajaj Chetak can be charged using a standard 5-15 amp electrical outlet. It takes about 5 hours for a full charge.

The scooter has a retro-inspired design, with a steel body and classic styling. The Bajaj Chetak comes with features like LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a reverse assist mode.  The scooter is available in six colors, including blue, red, and silver. At Rs. 1,51,217 (Ex-showroom Hyderabad) the Chetak stands among tough competitors in Ather, Ola and TVS among others.

The Bajaj Chetak is a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to conventional petrol-powered scooters, as it produces zero emissions and is powered by renewable energy.
