How was Zeva started?
Shruti Keni's educational background in Microbiology and her MBA in Finance and Marketing opened doors to a promising corporate career for her. For almost nine years, she worked tirelessly for a multinational company. The daily grind took its toll, leaving her exhausted and yearning for a change.
In 2018, Shruti decided to take a break from the corporate world and search for a job closer to her home. Initially, the freedom from the daily routine was refreshing, but soon she felt a sense of restlessness and a desire to do something productive with her time.
One fateful day, Shruti stumbled upon a Silk Thread jewelry course happening near her residence. Intrigued and seeking a fun activity, she joined the course, which lasted only three days. Those three days marked the beginning of a remarkable journey that would transform her life.
Inspired by the course, Shruti started taking orders for the jewelry she made during the workshop. The appreciation and positive feedback she received encouraged her to take a step further. Utilizing online courses to learn more about jewelry making, she explored new techniques and designs. To make her creations stand out, she researched and sourced materials from genuine vendors, ensuring high quality and craftsmanship.

On 16th August 2019, ZEVA had its first exhibition, where Shruti showcased her initial jewelry pieces. The response was overwhelming, as people admired not only the designs but also the precision and professionalism in each piece. Buoyed by the positive reception, she continued participating in various exhibitions, festivals, and events.

ZEVA’s uniqueness comes from its Semi Precious stone, premium quality pearls which are fetched from renowned gemstone manufacturers and wholesalers in India.
What is the vision for Zeva?
Shruti envisioned her creations to be more than just a local craft; she wanted to give her brand a distinct identity. Thus, the name "ZEVA" was born, derived from the Sanskrit word for "Precious." The brand amalgamated a modern touch with traditional Indian aesthetics, making it unique and appealing to a broader audience.
When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020, it posed unprecedented challenges to businesses worldwide. However, instead of dwelling on the setback, Shruti used the time to expand her skills and design new pieces. Her relentless dedication and innovative approach kept ZEVA thriving, even during tough times.

Zeva sells a wide range of products like necklaces, earrings, anklets, bracelets, keychains, kids' accessories, hair accessories, and giveaway items.
ZEVA also caters to festival collections like Rakhi, Christmas, Diwali, and Haldi Kumkum giveaways. ZEVA also accepts traditional ceremony bulk orders.

Initially, the freedom from the daily routine was refreshing, but soon she felt a sense of restlessness and a desire to do something productive with her time.
Though the journey from corporate life to creative entrepreneurship was challenging, Shruti received unwavering support from her family, espicially her husband. Learning new skills and navigating the business landscape was made easier with her husband's guidance and encouragement.
The future for Zeva -
As ZEVA approaches its five-year milestone, Shruti envisions a bright and promising future. Leveraging the power of social media, she believes there is vast potential for creative artisans to market their products. Additionally, she plans to expand her offerings to include a men's collection, catering to a broader clientele. Zeva also looks to open multiple stores in the near future.
