Elon Musk-owned Tesla has invested in an office in Pune with a monthly rent of Rs 11.65 lakh per annum. The total area of the office is 5,850 square feet. The office comes with a 36-month lock-in period and a five percent yearly escalation clause.
The data put up by real estate data analytics firm CRE Matrix says that the office will be on the first floor of the B wing in Panchshil Business Park. The place is just 3km away from the Pune International Airport and residential areas like Koregaon Park and Wadgaon Sheri.
Tesla has entered into an agreement with Tablespace Technologies Pvt Ltd, for five years. Tesla has paid a security deposit of Rs 34.95 lakh for a lease period of 60 months. The agreement between the two companies also includes five car parking and 10 bike parking.
During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US, Elon Musk expressed great interest in opening up an Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility in India. The facility will also manufacture EV batteries. The Indian arm of Tesla was registered in Bengaluru in 2021.
Some reports also suggest that Tesla is planning to launch a brand new car model just for the Indian markets priced at approximately $24 thousand or Rs 20,00,000 lakh.
