For nearly 30 years, Longi Bhuiyan dug a three-kilometre canal using only a spade, bringing water to parched farms.
His effort revived agriculture in the area and drew national attention.
Industrialist Anand Mahindra later rewarded him with a tractor, recognising his extraordinary contribution.
