Terrifying scenes from Boisar MIDC, Palghar: A massive hazardous oleum gas leak from a chemical unit created a dense white toxic cloud, forcing immediate evacuation of workers and over 1,600 school students.

Emergency teams rushed in, safety protocols activated, and residents within several kilometers were told to stay indoors as medical teams monitor the situation.

The leak has once again exposed serious lapses in industrial safety in Maharashtra’s manufacturing hubs.

Investigations are underway.
