Roopkund Trek, Uttarkand
Roopkund, also known as Mystery or Skeleton Lake, is known for its adventurous trekking experience. The trek starts with a glacial lake 16,499 ft above sea level. The bank of the lake is often found with human skeletons, which can be seen at the bottom of the lake when the glacier melts, adding mystery to the trek.
More research is done about this by many geologists and archeologists, they say they might be the remains of humans from the 9th-century hailstorm. The trekker views Trishul and Nandha Ghupti peaks, alpine meadows, and snowy mountains. The Chadar Trek or the Zanskar Gorge Trek, located in the union territory of Ladakh, is a lifetime experience. During the winter, the trekker walks on the frozen Zanskar River, which is 11,000 ft above sea level. The trekker must be able to withstand extreme climatic conditions in winter. The overall trekking distance is 105 km, and a trekker can walk up to 16 Km per day. The best time to trek in these areas is from January to February.

A trekker who wants to admire the beauty of the Himalayas must take this trek It has an altitude of 16200 Km and also offers the majestic view of the highest peak in India, Mt.Kunjengengha. The four unique things you experience in this trek are a beautiful Sunrise on Mt. Kunjengengha, Rhododendron blossoms which are seen during spring, Samiti Lake, and also three suspension bridges - Mentogang, Pha, and Tshushay Khola.
The best time to trek here is between mid-March to May and September to mid-November. It is an 11-day trek covering a trekking distance of 90 Km.
