IndiGo Airlines is set to make history as the inaugural operator of Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya International Airport. This bold move marks a significant milestone, with the airline scheduling connections between Ayodhya, Delhi, and Ahmedabad starting next year. Recent reports reveal IndiGo's groundbreaking role as the premier airline to initiate services from Ayodhya's upcoming international airport. Scheduled to kick off with an inaugural flight from Delhi on December 30, regular services between Delhi and Ahmedabad are slated to begin in the first week of January.
Flight Schedule Details:

Delhi Route: Starting January 6, a daily flight will depart from Delhi at 11:55 AM, reaching Ayodhya at 1:15 PM from January 10 onwards.

Ahmedabad Route: Three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays will commence on January 11. Departing from Ahmedabad at 9:10 AM, these flights will arrive in Ayodhya at 11 AM.
Ayodhya will mark IndiGo's 86th domestic and 118th overall destination. The airline also has plans to operate from the Jewar Airport in Noida, soon to be known as the Noida International Airport (NIA).
Key Highlights of the Ayodhya Airport:
Named the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport, the facility is set for inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Built at $30 million (approximately ₹250 crores), the terminal spans 6,500 square meters and can accommodate up to 300 passengers during peak hours.
With an estimated annual capacity of over 600,000 passengers, the airport is poised to significantly boost tourist influx into Ayodhya. The city, revered for its religious and cultural significance among Hindus, houses the renowned Ram Mandir, a magnet for devotees.
