A day after the launch of 5G mobile services in India, the announcement was made. A new era of ultra-high-speed internet on mobile phones began with the launch of 5G services on Saturday by PM Modi. He said 130 crore Indians are getting a wonderful gift from the country in the form of 5G. This is thanks to the telecom industry of the country.
"Now we have to take the lead in the development and deployment of 6G. IIT Hyderabad, standards and the technologies that have been developed for taking the telecom world from 5G to 6G... many of those technology developments have already happened. patents are available with the Indian developer community," Vaishnaw said as he visited the IIT Hyderabad booth at the India Mobile Congress. IIT Hyderabad was among the institutes that created the Indian 5G technology standard, 5Gi. Some versions of this tech are already part of new mobile phones and the final version of 5Gi will be available soon.
Like the former networks, 6G will be available in broadband cellular networks. Wireless communication technologies supporting cellular data networks are supporting the sixth generation mobile system standard, 6G. Jio, Huawei, Airtel, Samsung, LG, and Nokia will be seen adapting it. “By the end of this decade, we should be able to launch 6G services, our task force is working on it,” said PM Modi, during the silver jubilee celebrations of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
Furthermore, he mentioned that Indians are now chairing most of the study groups for 5G and 6G development under the International Telecommunications Union.
