The owner of X, a social media site that was once known as Twitter, Elon Musk, issued a warning on Friday, threatening to suspend anyone who used phrases like "from the river to the sea" and "decolonization."
The South African tycoon wrote on X, "'Decolonization', 'from the river to the sea', and similar euphemisms necessarily imply genocide, as I said earlier this week."
He continued, "We have terms of service that state that clear calls for extreme violence will result in suspension." In response to a user who inquired as to whether users of certain phrases would face suspension, Musk said.
Additionally, Musk stated that "decolonization is unacceptable to any reasonable person because it necessarily implies a Jewish genocide."
The demand for a Palestinian state that would include Judea and Samaria as well as the entirety of Israel is expressed in the phrase, "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."
The tweets were sent out two days after Musk came under fire for supporting a racist article on X that claimed Jews were inciting hatred against White people.
From his personal account on X, Musk replied, "You have said the actual truth."
