WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is actively working on improving the user experience by introducing new features. One of the upcoming features, as reported by WABetaInfo, involves screen sharing during video calls. The screen-sharing feature is currently in the testing phase and is being evaluated by Android beta testers who have installed WhatsApp beta version 2.23.11.19 for Android.
According to WABetaInfo, users will see a new icon in the call control view that allows them to initiate screen sharing. Once activated, the content displayed on the user's screen will be recorded and shared with the recipient of the video call. Users will have complete control over this feature and can stop sharing their screens at any point during the call. It's important to note that screen sharing will only occur with the explicit consent of the users, ensuring their privacy and control.
Additionally, some users who update to WhatsApp beta version 2.23.11.19 on Android may notice subtle changes in the layout of the bottom navigation bar. Specifically, the order of tabs in the navigation bar has been rearranged for certain users. The new arrangement includes tabs for chats, calls, communities, and status. These changes aim to enhance navigation and create a more streamlined user experience.
