OpenAI ChatGPT is restricted by Apple for its employees: Report

According to a recent Wall Street Journal report, Apple Inc. has taken steps to limit the usage of external artificial intelligence tools among its employees. This move comes as Apple is actively working on developing its own comparable AI technology and is concerned about the potential risks associated with confidential data leakage when employees employ third-party AI programs. As part of their precautionary measures, Apple has specifically advised its employees against utilizing GitHub's Copilot, a software code automation tool owned by Microsoft. In a related development, OpenAI, the organization responsible for creating ChatGPT, has introduced an "incognito mode" for their AI system, which ensures that users' conversation history is not stored or used to enhance the AI's capabilities. The use of chatbots like ChatGPT and the handling of user data have recently come under increased scrutiny. OpenAI has also launched the ChatGPT app exclusively for Apple's iOS platform in the United States. At present, there has been no official response from Apple, OpenAI, or Microsoft regarding Reuters' request for comment on this matter.
