Insta’s new feature shows stories only to those who share

Instagram is now testing a new feature called "Candid Stories" that allows users to post updates on what they're doing in a narrative that only other users who have shared their own stories can see.

Following the posting of their first story using the Candid feature, users will get daily notice reminders from the service. Several new features have also been added to Instagram's platform.

Instagram recently unveiled a new set of features that make it appear as though the firm is either increasing users' dependence on social media or providing a better means of communication and self-expression with friends.

Instagram has revealed that it is testing a feature called Candid Stories

Candid Stories, a tool that appears to function similarly to the BeReal app, will soon be available on Instagram. Instagram users will start seeing Group Profiles and other upgrades in the upcoming days.

Here is a brief overview of everything Instagram has to offer.

CANDID STORIES

Instagram has revealed that it is testing a feature called "Candid Stories" that would let users record and share everything they are doing in a Story. Only individuals who share their own candid stories will be able to see this, though.

The function appears to be a clone of the BeReal app's premise. In a tale that is only available to people who also contribute their own, "Candid Stories" is a new approach for recording and sharing what users are doing right now.

Instagram has developed into a platform where users attempt to post flawless images or brief films with effects, but it appears that the platform wants users to be more practical. So, it's introducing a function that was inspired by the BeReal app. A similar function is being tested on Facebook Stories, according to the company.

GROUP PROFILE

A brand-new feature for group profiles is also coming to Instagram.

With this, users will be able to establish and sign up for this new kind of profile where they may share experiences and postings with friends in a special, shared profile. One only needs to hit the "+" icon and choose Group Profiles to establish a new group profile.

According to a blog post on Instagram, whenever you share anything to a "Group Profile," it will only be visible to the group's members rather than your followers and will be placed on the Group Profile rather than your own.

NOTES

The Notes feature, a new method to share your thoughts and discover what your friends are up to, is also about to launch on Instagram.

Simply stated, "notes" are brief posts with up to 60 characters that only contain text and emoticons.

Going to the top of the inbox and selecting your "close friends" list or followers you follow back will allow you to easily leave a note. When finished, your note will spend the next 24 hours at the top of your inbox.

According to the company, all responses to notes will show up as DMs in your inbox.

COLLABARATIVE COLLECTIONS

Additionally, Instagram now offers the option to share saved posts in private or group conversations.

Simply save a post from the feed or forward it to a friend via DM and save it from there if you want to add it to a "Collaborative Collection."
