Grammarly's new feature might blur the lines between human and machine writing

The well-known typing assistant Grammarly recently released a press release with news of numerous new capabilities. The most notable upgrade is the improvement to Grammarly's Improve It prompt, which can now more efficiently rewrite text by utilising higher quality and context. In order for users to benefit from the adjustments, the update also explains how Grammarly enhances the user's writing. With the help of previous prompts and user context, the feature can produce more pertinent results. It also supports prompt history, making it simple to pick up where you left off.

Grammarly has also added personalised voice detection and application. The goal of this function is to address the issue of AI-generated text appearing robotic or impersonal. Grammarly will identify a user's distinct writing style automatically and generate a voice profile that describes the user to their audience. With only one click, users can then rewrite any generated text in their own voice. Additionally, as time passes, the feature learns from the user's preferences, incorporating aspects like tone and stylistic decisions. By year's end, all Grammarly Business users will have access to it.

Grammarly has also made its Knowledge Share feature available to all business customers. This feature surfaces relevant company documents, definitions, and key contacts in line with where employees work, saving them time searching for information.

Additionally, Grammarly has expanded the prompt usage limits for Grammarly Business customers. Enterprise customers now have unlimited prompts, while Teams and Grammarly for Education customers have 2,000 prompts. This allows businesses to scale their use of Grammarly's generative AI features.

Rahul Roy-Chowdhury, CEO of Grammarly, highlighted the potential benefits of these features for businesses, stating that four weeks of time saved per employee per year could lead to higher productivity, better results, and faster growth. With extended access and functionality in their generative AI features, businesses can now scale their use of AI to get increased value from Grammarly.
