Google, a leading technology company, is introducing a new viewer mode in its video communication platform Meet that will let users choose "Everyone is a viewer" when generating their Calendar invite. According to the internet giant's Workspace Updates blog post published on Friday, viewers are encountering participants who are unable to transmit their audio or video throughout the session. Designating guests as "viewers" in Google Meet will assist to minimize potential meeting interruptions like audio disturbances.
Additionally, this will maintain listeners' attention on the speaker and the meeting's subject matter. The hosts may switch watchers to contributors when it's time for the bigger audience to participate, according to the business. "Features like polls and Q&As from Meet will be available to viewers. In-meeting chat and emoji reactions won't be available to viewers; viewer support for these capabilities is on the way, it said. In an effort to improve the user experience, the internet giant launched a 1080p video call option for customers of its video communication service in April of this year.
