In order to allow visitors to read and depart from links that show up in search results, Google is currently developing new functionality. The ability to add and view notes while conducting a search in the Google app will be made available to users as an opt-in feature in Search Labs.
Notes will allow users to share their search expertise, uncover the finest solutions, and determine what's most helpful for them, according to a Google blog post. As per the tech giant's research, notes provide a new dimension of human insight to the search results and show that users are "interested in what people like them are saying about a given web page."
When the "Labs" icon shows in the upper left corner of the screen, tap it to enable "Notes" in the Google app on your phone. After it's finished, most search results will have an option to "Add note" or "Notes."
By selecting "Add note," users can contribute their own commentary about the search result in a separate window while still viewing what other people have to say about the specific webpage by hitting "Notes."
This might be useful when looking for the most pertinent details about a website and determining whether or not anything mentioned there has benefited other people.Along with allowing users to select from a variety of graphic designs, Google also provides options for customising notes by allowing users to add stickers, images, and text. Furthermore, the tech behemoth announced that Americans will soon be able to upload photos created by AI.
As per Google, "algorithmic protections and human moderation" are being used in tandem to maintain the security and relevancy of "Notes."
While adding notes on a variety of subjects, such as video games, fashion, and travel, is possible, the capability is not available for delicate subjects like war. Residents of India and the United States can utilise the "Notes" feature. Google Discover will also have an additional feature in addition to Google Search.
