During a recent podcast interview, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman criticized Musk, calling him a "jerk" with an unappealing approach. Altman further stated that Musk's style was not one that he would want to emulate.
The tension between Musk and OpenAI stems from Musk's disapproval of the AI research lab, which he helped found in 2015. This disapproval intensified following the launch of OpenAI's AI ChatGPT and Microsoft's significant investment in the lab.
Musk resigned from the OpenAI board in 2018, citing a conflict of interest with Tesla. However, reports suggest that his departure was due to his unsuccessful attempt to gain control of the research lab.
