In the recent and unique effort by tech companies to create generative AI tools, Discord, a chat app mostly used for work and gaming purposes, announced on Thursday that it will roll out new artificial intelligence features which will be able to summarize lengthy chats or add decorations to a user's avatar.
The IT sector is developing a tool that can produce images, text, or videos in response to a cue, all focusing on generative AI.
AI chatbots that can synthesize web results to answer complicated questions or even create original novels have either been introduced or announced by tech giants like Microsoft and Google as well as startups like OpenAI.
Chief executive of San Francisco-based Discord, Jason Citron, said, "We're seeing one of the most exciting moments in technology emerging,” during a press briefing.
