An automated DJ will be released by Spotify, which will choose songs and talk about them to you. The tool is the latest invasion of artificial intelligence into the culture.
It was introduced just days after AI authors flooded Amazon, and a sci-fi magazine had to forcefully close submissions after being bombarded with automatically created text. The new feature is named “AI DJ.”It will pick songs based on the individual’s listening history. The new feature also allows the system to talk to the users using technology from OpenAl, which created ChatGPT.
It will use an automated voice to tell the listeners facts about the music or the genre. The first of those voices is built on that of Xavier‘X Jernigan, who is Spotify’s head of cultural partnerships.
