Fantasy Akhada’s parent Super Six Sports Gaming Pvt. Ltd (SSSG) has raised $11 million from Florintree Advisors in a fresh round of funding on March 9. The latest round values the fantasy gaming platform at a valuation of $135 million as reported by Mint.
“We are excited to onboard a fresh set of investors. We believe that sports consumption in India has massive headroom for growth and we will help accelerate the same. The country, I believe, is at the cusp of a sporting revolution,” said Sumit Kumar Jha, Founder and COO of SSSG.
The company plans to use the funding to strengthen its position as a fantasy sports brand in India. The company is also looking to set up infrastructure for sports streaming and analytics. The platform offers fantasy games in Cricket, Football, Hockey, Kabaddi and Basketball.
The Gurugram-based company was launched in 2020 by Amit Purohit, Amit Bhardwaj, Ankit Upreti, Pratik Gosar, Sumit Jha and Sahil Ahuja. The company has witnessed meteoric growth since inception and claims to host 3 million active users.
