The umpires were out in the middle and whilst there's no rain, the inspection will now take place at 8.45 pm IST (3.15 pm GMT). So, we have about half an hour still to go before we get any concrete news regarding the toss and the start of play. Let's just hope, the skies stay clear now and this highly-anticipated clash can get going.
Here's that drizzle again! Everyone knew beforehand that it was going to be that type of a day in Guyana and the covers are starting to come on once more. Thankfully, we do have plenty of time on our hands but it must be frustrating for everyone involved.
TOSS DELAYED DUE TO WET OUTFIELD!!!! Although the rain has subsided, the ground staff seem to be expecting another bout of rain, which is why the covers are still on in anticipation of a shower.
Weather Update!!!! Former Cricketer & Commentator Dinesh Kartik a while ago shared a weather update from the venue live, which is not a good scene to the eyes. While the rain has stopped and the sun is peeping out there is a lot for the groundsmen to do before we have a game tonight.
I started with bad news , but here's some good news now
Sun is out and covers are being removed

Pitch Report: The pitch in Guyana is expected to be favorable for spin. Furthermore, because it's a day game, the wicket may get slower as the match goes on. It will be one of those wickets where the batsmen may find it difficult to power hit and rotate strikes in the middle overs as the ball ages. For this reason, scoring in the Powerplay may be essential. However, if rain falls, the surface will become soggy, making batting easier as the game progresses.
