Ronald Koeman's Dutch got off to a brilliant start, as within two minutes or so, Ryan Gravenberch played a ball through to Tijjani Reijnders, who confidently slotted past German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen for a goal that gave the Dutch a 1-0 lead.

Germany's Comeback Before Halftime
In came the response from Germany just before halftime: Kai Havertz punished the mistake by Matthijs de Ligt in the 38th minute, played Florian Wirtz into a shooting position, and though Bart Verbruggen saved first up, Deniz Undav was quickest to react and fired home the rebound to level at 1-1.
A mere seven minutes later Germany was ahead. A left-wing cross by David Raum found its way to Joshua Kimmich, who tapped in at the back post as Germany went into the break 2-1 up.
Second-half Dutch Equalizer
The second half witnessed the Netherlands come out with all guns blazing. The team did not require much time, as Brian Brobbey shook off a German defender to play a cross into the box six minutes after the restart, thus allowing Denzel Dumfries to put his team on level terms from close range to make it 2-2.

Injury Concerns for Nathan Ake
Yet even with so many goals and a lot of action, there was also a worrying moment for Oranje when Nathan Ake was taken off on a stretcher due to injury. His condition is yet to be checked, and it's not clear whether he will be fit for the next two games.
