JetSynthesys, a digital entertainment and gaming company, is set to bring the biggest esports competition in India, Global e-Cricket Premier League (GEPL), featuring a substantial prize pool of Rs 2.51 crore.
India’s first e-sport league, GEPL is to rival Krafton Inc S Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) series. Unlike popular foreign-created games such as BGMI, Pokemon Unite, Counter Strike, and Valorant, Real Cricket shines as a locally developed product by Pune's JetSynthesys.
The tournament will be streamed on JioCinema and Sports18, targeting an audience of 50 million. The GEPL finale, blending esports and music, is scheduled for December 8 at Pune's Balewadi Stadium. Performances by both Indian and international artists are expected, with talks of involvement from rappers Badshah and King.

The partnership with JioCinema and GEPL seeks to revolutionise the viewer experience by blending India's cricket passion with the rising interest of the youth in gaming and entertainment.
Registration and Selection Process
The registration phase for the Global e-Cricket Premier League (GEPL) commenced on June 28 and concluded on July 8, attracting an impressive 200,000 registrations worldwide, from over 1 crore e-Cricket enthusiasts of Real Cricket.
Following the registration period, from July 14 to August 10, GEPL underwent intense qualifiers featuring single-elimination matches. This phase witnessed fierce competition as participants aimed to secure a spot among the top 100 players.
Then, GEPL trough a thorough process, encompassing a strict selection phase, coaching for the top 48 players, and a subsequent player draft.
Following coaching, both teams and players will undergo an auctioning process next year, mirroring the format seen in India's Twenty20 cricket league (IPL) for conventional cricket.
