ICC Ranks India as No. 1 in All Formats, Then Retracts

India dropped out of the top spot in the ICC Test rankings within a few hours after a glitch with the ICC website dropped Australia to second place.

India held the top spots in all three formats for a brief period of time. However, the most recent update on the ICC website shows India in second place with 115 points and Australia in first place with 126 points.

On Friday, February 17, India will begin their second Test against Australia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. To qualify for the ICC World Test Championships final later this year, Rohit Sharma's team must win the Test series by a two-game margin.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) maintains a set of rankings for cricket teams across different formats, including Test matches, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 (T20) matches. These rankings are based on a points system that takes into account the results of recent matches, the strength of the opposition, and other factors.
