Sai Sudharsan’s Century Goes in Vain

Shubman Gill’s Statement After the Loss
After the match, Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill said:
“I think between the 16th and 19th overs, we couldn’t hit enough boundaries and didn’t score the runs we were aiming for. Those overs were very crucial for us. We were in a good position till the end of the powerplay, but after that, we couldn’t execute our plans in the middle overs.”
Speaking about the dropped catch of Virat Kohli, he added:
“When a batter gets a lifeline on zero, it’s always difficult for the fielding side. The key is how you bounce back, but although we had our chances, we couldn’t maintain the right line and length consistently. They batted really well in the middle overs.”
