This 45-year old CEO spends 16 crores yearly to look like an 18 yo

A 45-year-old biotech entrepreneur is doing everything in his power to rewind the biological clock several years in the face of a world that is obsessed with slowing it down.

After subjecting his body to a series of experiments dubbed "Project Blueprint" for nearly two years, Bryan Johnson, CEO of Kernel, a neurotechnology company based in Los Angeles, claims to have reduced his epigenetic age by 5.1 years.

The CEO, despite his wealth and resources, is unable to halt the natural aging process and has become increasingly desperate to maintain his 18-year-old appearance. According to the report, "he's on track to spend at least $2 million on his body this year." He would like to possess an 18-year-old's brain, heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, tendons, teeth, skin, hair, bladder, penis, and rectum."

Blueprint requires Johnson to adhere to a grueling set of daily routines in order to accomplish this, including exercising vigorously and eating precisely 1,977 vegan calories per day.

Oliver Zolman, a regenerative medicine physician who is 29 years old, is in charge of the Blueprint project. In his longevity study, which aims to demonstrate that people can be made younger, Zolman uses his patient as a guinea pig.

“There is no person in the world who is 45 chronologically but 35 in every organ,” he told Bloomberg. “If we can eventually prove clinically and statistically that Bryan has made that change, then it will be such a large effect size that it will have to be causative of the intervention and beyond what’s genetically possible.”
