Increasing threat of internet apocalypse as Sun to reach Solar maximum

Recently on the internet, this solar maximum and the devastating effects of it are trending in such a way that people believe that it will definitely impact our lives in the next two years.

But what is the solar maximum and what are its impacts?

Solar maximum is a phase when there is peak solar activity and strong magnetic fields around the sun. The sun reaches its highest dynamic point. It is said that the solar cycle generally lasts for 11 years. And this solar maximum happens in the middle of each cycle. This peak solar activity causes solar storms. Due to this whole thing, there are chances that it can cause problems with radio communication as well as the internet and can have worse effects on our lives.

So this solar maximum, which is said to happen in 2025, will cause an internet apocalypse, which means the huge network of wired connections will be affected at such a level that there will be disconnectivity for a longer time. Ultimately, it will affect the economy of the world.

Sangeetha Abdu Jyothi, computer science professor at California University mentioned these in her research paper titled 'Solar Superstorms: Planning for an Internet Apocalypse', while it is important to know that her research paper has not been published yet. Earth has not experienced any such event prior, so there is no relevance to discussing it and comparing its consequences.

NASA hasn't even said a word regarding it and not issued any warning. We should wait for any reputed scientific authority to comment on it.
