PM Modi Unpacks 30 Projects in Telangana, Congress CM Calls Him Elder Brother 

Adilabad: In a boost to Telangana's infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and unveiled 30 developmental projects worth over Rs 56,000 crore in Adilabad on Monday ahead of the general elections. The newly inaugurated development projects spanning the power, rail, and road sectors are expected to significantly boost the Deccan state's prosperity. Addressing the public gathering, the PM said his visit is no way related to elections.

PM Modi inaugurated the projects, sharing the stage with the Governor of Telangana, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Chief Minister of Telangana, Revantha Reddy, and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy. 

However, this is the first visit of PM Modi to the state since Congress won the assembly in December. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday publicly said that "Prime Minister means elder brother." Despite being a congress-ruled government, they won't go for a fight with the centre, CM Reddy remarked.

PM Modi inaugurated the 800 MW capacity NTPC Unit 2, which is expected to significantly increase Telangana's electricity generation capacity.The electrification of the Ambari-Adilabad-Pimpalkhuti railway line was dedicated to the nation, enhancing regional connectivity.

Enhanced Transportation: The foundation stones were laid for two major National Highway projects connecting Adilabad to Bela and Mulugu. These modern roads will reduce travel time, promote tourism, and create employment opportunities, PM Modi said on Monday.

CM Revanth Reddy, unlike his predecessor, CM K Chandrashekar Rao, greeted the PM warmly in order to maintain a strong bond with the centre. Addressing the public in Adilabad during his two-day visit, PM Modi said, "There is a global buzz around the high growth rate of the Indian economy.”“For us, development means the development of the poorest of the poor, the development of dalits, tribals, backwards, and the deprived,” he said during his address.
