PM Modi to commence a 10-day whirlwind visit to 12 states for election campaigns

The BJP's initial list of candidates, as well as the final meeting of the Union Council of Ministers before the Lok Sabha elections, at which a confident Modi government laid out its post-election strategy. After completing those tasks over the weekend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a 10-day tour of 12 states and Union Territories starting from Monday. This occurs before the Model Code of Conduct takes effect and the Election Commission (EC) announces the calendar for the parliamentary elections.

First up are the opposition-ruled states of Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Next, within this week, the PM is expected to go to Odisha, West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.

The PM will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth approximately Rs 56,000 crore on Monday in Adilabad, Telangana. He will also speak at open forums in Sangareddy and Adilabad. After visiting the nuclear power plant Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI) in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu, he will speak at a public forum in Chennai.

The Prime Minister has been touring the nation since January, launching projects valued at lakhs of crores, all to hone his government's development narrative in advance of the Lok Sabha elections. The BJP's electoral rhetoric will heavily rely on the "Modi guarantees."

Not only the prime minister but other major BJP leaders are also conducting polls and having organizational meetings. Beginning on Monday, BJP president J P Nadda will travel to Belagavi, Karnataka for two days to speak at public and organizational gatherings. Nadda is expected to come to Belagavi and preside over the meeting of the core committee for the Kakati parliamentary constituencies of Bagalkot, Vijayapura, Chikodi, and Belagavi.
