Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Chief Minister, Manohar Joshi's mortal remains were solemnly transported from his residence in Matunga to the Shivaji Park crematorium in Dadar for his final rites after 2 p.m. on Friday, according to individuals familiar with the matter who spoke to Vygr News. As mourners gathered to pay their respects at the hospital, residence and the crematorium ground, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of reverence.
86-year-old Josi, who served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1995 to 1999 breathed his last Friday at 3 am. He was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai after a cardiac arrest. Joshi was admitted to the same hospital last time in May.
