Pune Porsche Case: Final Report by Pune Police send to JJB

After exactly one month of the crash case, the Pune Police have submitted their final report to the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) related to the Porsche crash case.

Police have requested permission to try a 17-year-old, the main accused in the case, as an adult. If permission is granted, the accused can get a strict punishment for the charges he faces.

After the teenager, under the influence, crashed his speeding Porsche Car in a two-wheeler claiming lives of two techies in Kalyani Nagar on May 19, he was granted bail by the Juvenile Justice Court within a few hours on lenient conditions, sparking frustration within people on Social Media. Also he just months away in turning 18, or an adult, but he was tried as a minor.

According to Pune City Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, the detailed report includes substantial evidence such as eyewitness testimonies, CCTV footage, and proof of alcohol consumption by the minor on the night of the incident.

In their final report, the police have presented substantial evidence to the JJB to support their plea for the juvenile to be tried as an adult. “We have submitted all evidence to the JJB proving that he was behind the wheel of the Porsche car, starting from his house on the evening of May 19 until the accident occurred,” the officer stated.

Further complicating the case, Shocking revelations were made during investigations that the minor’s blood samples were swapped with those of his mother to tamper the evidence that the minor was under the influence of alcohol.

In this case, many arrests have been made so far. Minors’ Parents and Grandfather have been arrested. Two doctors, Dr. Ajay Taware and Dr. Shrihari Halnor, and a hospital employee, Atul Ghatkamble, were involved in swapping the blood sample and have also been arrested. Moreover Rosie Club workers who served alcohol to minors have been arrested.
