A Canadian Sikh has broken his own Guinness World Record for having the largest beard on a living person, with his beard measuring an impressive 8 feet and 3 inches long. The first time his beard was measured was in 2008, and it was already an impressive 7 feet and 8 inches long. He then broke his own record in 2010 with a beard measuring 8 feet and 2.5 inches long.
On October 15, 2022, the beard was remeasured and found to have grown even longer. Sarwan Singh practices Sikhism and has never trimmed his beard, which he considers to be a gift from God. Maintaining the beard is a time-consuming process, with each hair receiving individual attention. According to the Guinness World Record, the hair must be natural and damp before being measured to prevent curls from altering the length measurement.
