A leash-free dog park is a dream for every dog and dog owner. There are a number of dog parks in India that are trying to ensure that paw-fect life for our fur friends. Let's check out some of them:
Bengaluru
The Doggy play date park in Banglore is open every Sunday from 10 to 11 am, for dog owners to bring their puppies and socialize with each other. It provides a great opportunity for dogs to interact and play in a safe, enclosed area. The Dog Park at the Elephant Pond, in Bangaluru, is a place created for your dogs to be let off their leashes and enjoy their freedom. This park is perfect for organising pet parties, private dog events, training sessions, etc for dogs to socialise and learn. There are walking trails for parents to take a walk with their pups and also separate areas for small and big dogs.
Mumbai
The Yari Road Pet Park is the first active pet park in Maharashtra. Pets can play in a safe, secure and clean environment, just dedicated to them. With regular events and awareness drives involving health professionals, and other experts, the park aims to provide an overall happy life for all pets. ZOIC pet park is located in Mumbai, in a city like Mumbai where people barely have space to live, it's an accomplishment to build spaces dedicated to pets. The park is tucked away in Borivali and is a good place for your fur friends to cheer up. Then there is the Carter Road Dog Park which is just the perfect location for your doggos to chill as they overlook the sea. It has chess tables and a cycling track too for the hoo-mans to keep themselves entertained while their dogs catch up with each other.
Hyderabad
The country's first-ever dog park opened in Hyderabad in Gachibowli with a huge area of 1.3 acres for your little pooch to run wild! It has an amphitheatre, a separate enclosure for small and big dogs, and benches shaped like bones for the owners to sit while their doggos run leash-free. It also houses a para vet clinic, a dog training centre, and a splash pool and even has accommodated the needs of the specially-abled.
D-park in Hyderabad is a huge park and has a beautiful arc-shaped entrance with dogs climbing on stairs from both ends. The park has a number of swings and cemented areas for your dogs to have fun with their buddies.
Delhi
The North Delhi Municipal corporation unveiled the first-ever dog park in Delhi last year at Old Rajendra Nagar. Pets can go out for a walk and play as their owners too can chat each other up. It just isn't a walking space - in fact, the park has swings, and green patches and it even organized an anti-rabies vaccination camp during its opening ceremony to ensure everyone around these little ones stays safe.
Gurgaon
Off the leash is a pet-friendly park and cafe located in Gurgaon. The staff is fabulous and the place is filled with warmth. The staff has planned a plethora of activities for dogs who visit and they also offer a facility of splash pool for dogs. They also have a cafe to cater for the food needs of both humans and dogs.
Chandigarh
Mansa Devi Complex in Chandigarh houses the first-ever dog park in Haryana in Sector 4. The place was built at a meagre cost of 45 lacs and is spread over 1 acre. It has been thoughtfully designed for different dog needs - one area of the park is designated for the small ones while the other side is dedicated to the bigger-sized pooches who do need their evening stroll. The amenities are no less than that of a human adventure park - jump hurdles, mini hill climb, training platform, bridge climb, balance beam, dog statue, portable toilets, path lights, sitting benches, sand, water pond, jumping ring and jumping platform. Wow! It seems Haryana went the whole way to please human's best friends.
