Discover the Significance of January 10: The Day We Celebrate Hindi Language

Vishwa Hindi Diwas

Vishwa Hindi Diwas, or World Hindi Day, is celebrated on January 10th to mark the anniversary of the first World Hindi Conference held in Nagpur, India, in 1975. The Government of India organized the conference to promote the use of Hindi as a global language and to celebrate the rich cultural heritage associated with the language.

The main objective of celebrating this day is to spread knowledge of the Hindi language globally and make it more popular among non-Hindi-speaking people. The day is celebrated to promote the Hindi language as a medium of international communication and to acknowledge the growing popularity of Hindi worldwide.

World Hindi Day

The idea behind the celebration of World Hindi Day is to encourage people from different countries and cultures to learn and speak Hindi and to appreciate the linguistic and cultural diversity that Hindi represents. The day is also marked by a series of events, including cultural programs, competitions, and educational seminars, which are held to promote the use of Hindi and to celebrate the contributions of the Hindi language and literature to the global community.

Many activities like debates, essay writing, speeches, poetry recitations, cultural programs, and competitions are organized on this day in different parts of the country and abroad. The events are organized by various institutions like schools, colleges, universities, and the Indian Embassies abroad to celebrate the day.
