American rapper and Grammy winner Eminem has issued a letter asking the Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to stop using his music in his campaign.

This request was made after a video of Ramaswamy rapping to Eminem’s Lose Yourself at the Iowa State Fair went viral. The letter was sent by BMI, a performing rights organization on behalf of Marshall B. Mathers aka Eminem.

Why did Eminem tell Republican Vivek not to use his music during his presidential campaign?

Ramaswamy’s campaign informed CNN that they would honor the rapper's request and would stop using his music.

This isn't the first time such a request has been made, in the past 2 years many artists like Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, Aerosmith, and Adele have objected to their music being used in campaigns and elections.
