Early Life and Education
Usha Chilukuri Vance is a native San Diegan, born in 1986 to Indian immigrant parents. While growing up in a rich, upper-middle-class neighborhood, she excelled academically and was an outstanding student. She graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor's and was then awarded a Master of Philosophy at Cambridge University.
A sharp legal mind, Usha Vance was formerly a corporate litigator in San Francisco and brings deep experience to the position. Most recently she clerked for Chief Justice John Roberts of the US Supreme Court and for Justice Brett Kavanaugh before he was nominated to the Supreme Court. During her time as Managing Editor at Yale Law School on the Yale Journal of Law and Technology, she has also sharpened her writing.

Usha played a great role in the creation of the politics career by JD Vance. As the Ohio Senator and author of "Hillbilly Elegy," JD Vance began making headlines across the nation for his effective deconstruction of the plight of rural white America.
