US visa to get costlier from May 30, Including student and tourist

The increase in the cost of a visa for both tourists and students wishing to study in the United States will take effect on May 30.

Each non-petition-based NIV, such as student and exchange visitor visas, will cost $185, as well as visas for business or tourism (B1/B2). Additionally, as opposed to $190, certain petition-based non-immigrant visas for temporary workers, such as H, L, O, P, Q, and R, will cost $205.

The charge for deal brokers, settlement financial backers, and settlement candidates in a specialty occupation (E classification) will increment from $205 to $315 because of this standard, which affects the consular charges. This includes letting some exchange visitors skip the two-year residency requirement.

Aside from that, the treaty also mentioned that the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA), which came into effect on March 30, will grant four-year visas to a total of 1,800 Indian chefs and yoga teachers.

“Annually, a maximum of 1,800 professional, qualified Indian traditional chefs and yoga instructors entering India as Contractual Service Suppliers will be granted temporary entry and temporary stay. The deal report stated, "The impermanent passage is for periods of stay awake up to four years, with the possibility of additional stay."

Since the ECTA was signed in December of last year, it is anticipated that bilateral trade between the two countries will increase from the current $31 billion to over $45-50 billion in five years.
