US to handover 26/11 accused Tahawwur Rana to India

A black day in Mumbai’s life, 26/11. This terrorist attack has changed Mumbai’s life a bit. An accused from 26/11, Tahawwur Rana, who is in the US will soon be handed to India by the US government. An extradition treaty took place between India and the US. The Indian government has been requesting this since 2020 and finally, the Biden government approved his provisional arrest.

US Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Chooljian looked into this case and passed the judgment accepting the request of India. India’s National Investigation Agency said that Rana was involved in a terrorist attack by Lashkar -e-Taiba in 2008. Rana provided cover for the activities of a member of Lashkat-e-Taiba. He was a part of the planning and conspiracy. That attack led to the death of 166 people, including 6 Americans.

India has put different charges on him and also issued an arrest warrant.
