Qin Gang, Foreign Minister of China, died by torture or suicide

Qin Gang, the former foreign minister of China, was fired from his position in July. It is alleged that he passed away either through torture or suicide. 2 people with contact with senior Chinese authorities have reportedly stated that Qin passed away at a Beijing military hospital in late July, according to a Politico story.Top national leaders are supposedly treated at the hospital.

Qin had an extramarital affair while serving as ambassador to the United States, according to a Wall Street Journal story earlier this year. The investigation, which focused on whether Qin's actions or the affair were harming China's national security, also mentioned that the former foreign minister was assisting with it.

According to the report, senior Chinese authorities were informed that Qin had an affair during his time serving as China's ambassador to the United States, based on an internal investigation by the Communist Party. The media outlet was informed by two people that a child had been born as a consequence of the affair.

Furthermore, less than half a year into the position, Qin was replaced as foreign minister in July by accomplished diplomat Wang Yi following an unexplained one-month leave of absence. Before January of this year, he served as China's principal envoy in Washington from July 2021.
