PIA aircraft entered Indian airspace for 10 minutes after failing to land in Lahore

Pakistan International Airlines’ PK248 entered Indian Territory on 4May, Thursday.  This Pakistani flight was not able to land in Lahore, Allama Iqbal International Airport. The PK248 flight from Muscat to Lahore was stuck due to heavy rain and could not land.

This Boeing 777 got unstable while the pilot tried to land it. Thus, air traffic controllers instructed him to start 'go-round.' During this round, due to rainy clouds and low height, the pilot lost his way and could not find it for the next 10 minutes.  First it entered Indian airspace from Bhandana , traveled through Taran Sahib, Rasulpur from Punjab, part of Indian Territory and took, turn from Nushehra Pannuan. From Jhagian Noor Muhammad, part of India, it reentered Pakistani airspace. From Kasur district, Pakistan, the flight came back into Indian airspace. All this time, the flight was at 20,000 feet. It flew at 23,000 feet when it was reentering to Pakistan from Lakha Siinghwala Hitar, India.

The plane finally flew to Multan, Pakistan. The plane flew for 7 to 10 minutes in Indian airspace.
