North Korea claimed on April 14 that a new intercontinental ballistic missile had successfully been test-launched .The information was released by North Korea's official news agency, Korean Central News Agency, a day after the neighbours of the nation reported witnessing Pyongyang launch a long-range missile, continuing a string of military shows that have included more than 100 missiles thrown into the sea since the year 2022.
The missile was launched from a launch vehicle at a test facility inside a forest while Kim, military officials, and his daughter watched from an observation position, according to images released by North Korean state media. The drills, according to North Korea, carried threats against it and were meant to imitate an all-out war. According to the US and South Korea, the purpose of their drills is defensive, and their expansion was required to address the North's changing threats.
