- Govt offering 1M yen to move out of greater Tokyo, relocation fee incentive to be introduced by April '23
- The idea is to encourage people to move to the less populated areas
- This policy is applicable to 1,300 municipalities
- The government hopes to move 10,000 people from Tokyo to rural areas by 2027 under this, which was started in 2019.
- Households who have lived in central Tokyo for 5 years or more are eligible.
