Hezbollah, the militant group supported by Tehran, escalated tensions along the border by launching a series of rocket and drone attacks on the Israeli military. They targeted Israeli army positions with Nasr-1 and Qader-2 missiles, as well as attack drones. The attacks targeted troops of the Israeli military stationed near the town of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon as well as military headquarters in Tel Aviv.
Qader-2 Missiles Hit Israeli Army Headquarters in Tel Aviv
Hezbollah said it had struck the Israeli army headquarters in Tel Aviv with Qader-2 missiles in its most significant attack. The group said the missiles were targeted at a central military compound housing the Israeli Defense Ministry and the command headquarters of the Israeli military which is war control facility for the Israeli force. Hezbollah stated that the missiles hit their target with precision. Hezbollah was also said to have simultaneously attacked Israel's Kirya military base with attack drones earlier in the day which is being located in northern Israel and command center for Israeli air operations. Hezbollah stated that the attack was a success and had extensively utilized air power. Additionally, Hezbollah reported that it had rocketed an Israeli Ramim Battalion base near the village of Hunin in northern Israel.
Nasr-1 Missile Strike Near Bint Jbeil
Hezbollah also fired a rocket attack on Israeli soldiers in the town of Bint Jbeil which is a border town between Lebanon and Israel and has been a recurring flashpoint throughout history between the two. The attacks reflect the conduct of revenge attacks in the face of persistent regional conflicts.
